Infectwire Evolved

I've been playing a lot of online matches with my version of Infectwire, and now it has a little less wire in it, but it's still doing pretty good.

Recently, over on Magic-League, this deck placed 2nd in a Tournament:

Deck
Land (23)
Inkmoth Nexus
Island
Forest
Misty Rainforest
Terramorphic Expanse

Creatures (13)
Blighted Agent
Glistener Elf
Spellskite
Viridian Corrupter

Counterspells (3)
Mana Leak
Pump spells (14)
Groundswell
Mutagenic Growth
Vines of Vastwood
Distortion Strike

Equipment (3)
Livewire Lash

Other Spells(4)
Preordain
Sideboard:
Spellskite
Distortion Strike
Beast Within
Corrupted Resolve
Viridian Corrupter
Jace Beleren
Spell Pierce

I like what this list does, but I have some tweaks to it that I think make it better.

Here's my current list:
Deck
Lands (22)
Inkmoth Nexus
Misty Rainforest
Halimar Depths
Island
Forest

Creatures (14)
Glistener Elf
Blighted Agent
Necropede
Viral Drake

Pump Spells (16)
Distortion Strike
Mutagenic Growth
Groundswell
Vines of Vastwood
Apostle's Blessing
Other Spells (2)
Tezzeret's Gambit

Equipment (2)
Livewire Lash

Other Artifacts(4)
Contagion Clasp
Sideboard
Tezzeret's Gambit
Beast Within
Nature's Claim
Dismember
Spellskite

This deck has been doing very good in matches.

Some of the tech that I've added:

Apostle's Blessing: Can't be stolen by Spellskite. Gives pseudo Distortion Strike if all his creatures are 1 color.
Tezzeret's Gambit: Proliferates, draws you 2 cards. This card is awesome.
Halimar Depths: Gives a free Preordain, almost.

Currently, Spellskite is in the sideboard. You can very easily beat a Splinter Twin deck before turn 4 as long as they don't drop a Spellskite.

I'm still working on the rest of the sideboard. This depends a lot on how the meta shapes up, but we have a ton of options. Beast Within does some fun things against opponents. Nature's Claim is an obvious must. Dismember is an addition anti creature card, it kills Spellskite, Batterskull germs, and kills a lot of other things too.

I recently entered a Magic-League tournament with a list close to this one, and I made it to the semi-finals. I lost to a Caw-Blade deck 1-2. It was very close, with him at 9 poison counters, and he top decked a Go For The Throat and killed off my Viral Drake.

I've also seen another similar list going around that uses Adventuring Gear. In a recent match it beat me 2-1. Adventuring Gear on a Blighted Agent and dropping a Misty Rainforest is pretty sweet. Adventuring Gear plays out faster than Livewire does, but doesn't give you the targeted removal that Livewire can do, which was how I won my one game against him, killing off his lone blocker with a bounced Mutagenic Growth and getting in for the win.

I'll be taking my list to FNM tomorrow, and report on how it did. Wish me luck.
