Both games were over fairly quickly, I had some lucky draws, and he played fairly sloppily. This was after spending hours on MWS having people quit on me after beating them the first game. That got incredibly frustrating, so I settled on playing someone I knew rather than finding a random game.
I comment during these games, trying to talk about what is going through my head, and I even comment on my sideboarding plan.

Let me know what you guys think, comments are welcome.
I like video + commentary better than just one or the other. However I would love to hear more explanations; for example I was kind of puzzled that in game 2, you kept a hand with no creatures. Did you feel good about what the rest of your hand had to offer, even if it meant waiting several turns for a creature? Were you banking on a creature after Probe and your first draw? Or were you just paranoid about mulling to five?
ReplyDeleteAlso, you could have killed Jace off instead of trying to get in some damage - were you expecting a third copy of Jace, or did you think getting Poison on him was more important than taking out his Jace?
I think videos for the visual component plus explaining your thought process and the 'why' of each play would be really entertaining and would also help returning players like me get a better feel for how to be better players.
Hey D,
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find anywhere to contact you on your blogspot profile. I'm David from MTG Deck Builder.net. I have noticed lately that you have been using our site and linking to it from your blogs. I also took a look at a few of your blogs. It seems you are fairly new and I wanted to see if you would be interested in letting us put your blogs on our new featured blogs section we are working on. It is not ready yet, but I wanted to get a couple of bloggers ready to go. It will not involve any extra work on your part as I would pull the blogs from the rss feeds and post them on my site automatically. I can set it up so you get e-mail alerts when someone makes a comment also. I think it could be great for both of us and increase traffic to our site and yours. If you are interested, please send me an e-mail to david@mtgdeckbuilder.net. Sorry for the weird post location, but I did not know how else to contact you.
Thanks!
David
